The company in brief

Principle Capital is an independent investment management and advisory group. The main operations are focused on the provision of alternative asset fund products. We have offices in Geneva, London, Berlin, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Beira.

Principle Capital is led by its founding partners: Brian Myerson, David Cooley, Brian Padgett, James Peggie and Leonard O'Brien. Collectively, since 1989, they have pioneered the activist style of investing in the London market, with an exemplary track record. Together the team has over 80 years of experience in shareholder activism and, on average, over 20 years of individual experience in the securities and investment markets, including private equity, corporate finance, banking and the legal and accounting professions.

In October 2008 Jonathan Sieff, former Chief Executive Officer of Close Brothers Asset Management Holdings plc, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Principle Capital group to oversee the crucial next phase of developing the group into a leading alternative investment funds business.

Today Principle Capital offers a range of specialist alternative asset management funds covering infrastructure, property, energy, and small cap equities. The company has two divisions: its Alternative Investment Funds division and its Activist Investment Funds division.

Principle Capital (Ticker: PCX), was floated on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in November 2004 and is owned by a combination of the executive team and a number of institutional investors.
